We realize that these are trying times with so much uncertainty and unrest in the world whether on the medical front, the social front or the economic front. However, there are some “silver linings” if we stop and look. One such benefit is that parts of our environment are actually improving due to less travel and pollution caused by travel. Pictures from space show less air pollution around major cities such Los Angeles and New York. Another benefit is that certain animal populations are improving.
Those of you that have followed us over the past few years know that every summer we endeavor to “raise” Monarch Butterflies and release them back into our neighborhoods. This year is shaping up to be a very productive year and we presently have over a dozen chrysalises to share. There is nothing quite like watching something as beautiful and fragile as a butterfly being born and released to overcome our “pandemic blues”.
If you would like to get your own chrysalis to watch and release, contact us at 315-930-4499 and we will try to arrange it as long as we have them. It’s nice that the small things in life can still lift our spirits. Stay safe and happy.
PS: You don’t have to practice “socially distancing” with butterflies.
